Dr. Jean Botha, MB, BCh, FCS(SA), is Director of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Director of the Living Donor Liver Transplant Program. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Section of Transplantation. He has been a member of the liver transplant team since 2000. He received his medical degree and completed his general surgical residency from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He earned a fellowship in Solid Organ Transplantation from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He was a transplant surgeon at the University of the Witwatersrand Organ Transplant Program in Johannesburg, South Africa.
